We are very proud of our 2015 EDYSA competition winner Julieth Lozano Rolong on her triumphant performance at BBC Cardiff Singer of the World. Richly deserved winner of the 2023 Audience Prize and wonderful to hear Janáček’s Vixen aria ‘Kradla jsem’ as part of her exciting programme.

Many Congratulations!

In Memoriam

It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we learned of the death of two esteemed friends, who passed away in October 2022.

ROBERT HENDRA was a wonderful friend to our Foundation and the young opera singers he supported. His contribution to our biennial singing competition helped us establish the Czech Song Prize.

They will be sorely missed and never forgotten.

A Collector's Album

Earlier this year we received a lovely gift from Mr Pierre Brossard from Le Mans in France - a collector's album.

It is filled with original photographs, reviews and newspaper cuttings of Emmy Destinn during her illustrious career. We are in the process of archiving and digitizing the album, but below is a few images from the collection. The Emmy Destinn Foundation is very grateful for this wonderful gift and thanks Mr Brossard for his generosity.
